revolutionary neuro device

Glass Brain, the neuroscience revolutionary device was just unveiled to the public by SXSW. Brains behind this device are of course belong to 2 legends Adam Grazzaley (neuroscientist) and Philip Rosedale. The team who has created this Glass brain device include an intellectual group of programmers, animators, Ph.D. doctors and engineers. This device is basically a neuro-video interface that captures the brain waves using an electrode embedded cap. These waves are then transformed into an eye catching cerebral array which can be displayed on almost all sort of interface from a hi-fi flat screen to your small smart phone.

So What’s the special thing about Glass brain device?

By using the electroencephalographic signals (EEG), brain glass device creates an anatomically-realistic images of brain in its 3D form. These images portrait all the known brain functions in more artistic manner. This is how it gives a shape to your every single thought. When it comes to the representation of thought in association with different frequency bands, these visual displays make use of several different colors and notations as below.

Representation Human Mood
Theta Calmness & drowsiness
Alpha Relaxation & Reflection
Beta Active Thinking
Gamma 2 or more senses at once

This interface uses a sparkling golden lines and white matter to represent the anatomical fiber tracts. The most interesting part in the display is the pulses of light that beautifully represents how information is transferred among the different brain regions. You can see these displays from the video above. Apart from boasting the beautiful displays, this revolutionary exceptional device is expected to help the people who suffer from serious brain injuries and related problems. If this device is improved even further, we may find ways to hack our brains in more productive ways like increasing our creativeness, stress reduction, anxiety reduction etc.
